The Lone Plant
A few weeks ago, I stopped by a friend’s house for a quick visit on her back porch. Her sweet little girl wanted to show me the beautiful flowers on their patio and in the pots scattered throughout their backyard. She was so proud of the work she and her mom had done by planting and tending to the pretty flowers.
Pearls
It has been a little over two months since my mother’s funeral. The morning of her funeral, as I was getting dressed, the grief was so very heavy. The only way I can describe the feeling of loss is to say that it was a heaviness on my being like I haven’t previously experienced.
